Sal Ritorto is GREENCROWN Energy & Water’s Partner & President, where he leads and manages the company’s sales and operations teams and directs all strategic growth initiatives. Mr. Ritorto is a proven retail energy industry leader with nearly 10 years of experience driving innovative and customer centric energy solutions in all major US markets, with proven versatility across the energy complex having worked for several energy suppliers. Mr. Ritorto began his career in energy management consulting with GREENCROWN Energy & Water in 2018, where his passion for new business development, customer success, and energy technology had a fundamental impact on the company’s growth strategy.
Since then, GREENCROWN Energy & Water has notably scaled operations and has expanded its core product offerings beyond energy procurement to include utility data management, sustainability consulting, demand management, and energy and water conservation.
Prior to starting in the energy industry, Mr. Ritorto studied at The Pennsylvania State University and obtained a B.S. in Energy, Business, and Finance. He was recruited by Hess Corporation to join the 2012 Energy Marketing Development Program at their corporate headquarters in Woodbridge, NJ, where he obtained exposure to various functional areas of the retail energy industry. The program served as a launching pad for Mr. Ritorto to pursue other business development roles within the retail energy industry, with companies such as South Jersey Industries, ENGIE, and WGL Energy. While regularly a top sales producer, he broadened his education by achieving certifications such as the Certified Energy Procurement Professional offered by the Association of Energy Engineers as well as the LEED Green Associate designation administered by the U.S. Green Building Council.
