Sal Ritorto is the Operating Partner and President of Greencrown Energy, where he leads all aspects of the organization and drives its strategic growth initiatives. Since joining the leadership team in 2018, Mr. Ritorto has led more than 900% growth, expanded the company’s national footprint, and guided Greencrown to a place on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

With nearly 15 years of retail energy experience, Mr. Ritorto has built a career delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions across all major U.S. markets. His expertise in procurement strategy, risk management, and decarbonization, combined with front-line experience at multiple retail suppliers, has positioned him as a trusted advisor to multi-facility organizations navigating an increasingly complex energy landscape.

Mr. Ritorto joined Greencrown as Executive Vice President in 2018, where his vision for business development, client success, and technology became central to the company’s transformation. Under his leadership, Greencrown evolved from a regional procurement advisory into a nationally recognized, full-service energy solutions firm, expanding its offerings to include utility data management, demand-side management, and decarbonization advisory services. He has also scaled a high-performing team and operational infrastructure to support rapid growth while embedding a culture built around Greencrown’s five core values: professionalism, proactivity, exceeding customer expectations, education, and accountability. These values serve as the foundation of the company’s identity and guide its mission to deliver best-in-class outcomes for clients and partners.

Prior to Greencrown, Mr. Ritorto earned a B.S. in Energy, Business, and Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and was recruited into the Energy Marketing Development Program at Hess Corporation, where he gained foundational experience across the retail energy value chain. He later held business development roles with South Jersey Industries and ENGIE, consistently ranking among top performers and expanding his strategic expertise. Mr. Ritorto is also a Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP), a credential awarded by the Association of Energy Engineers.

Today, Mr. Ritorto continues to guide Greencrown’s long-term strategy with a clear mission: to establish the company as the nation’s most trusted and professional energy risk management advisory firm. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, working out and staying active outdoors, serving on a local education board in Chester County, and advising emerging and small businesses.
